Canada is thinking the same way as Netherlands,
Germany and many other European countries to legalize
prostitution. Recently 27 women involved in sex trade
were killed from Vancouver East side by a serial
killer, and so the Government thinks that by
legalizing the sex trade safety of these women will be
increased.

Regarding: Legalizing Prostitution:
Dear Costas:
Life is a struggle between good and evil, and
legalizing prostitution in Canada would be like
embracing evilness.
The problems of prostitution as I see it arise from
lack of righteous values which leads to evilness and
corruption, and are mainly due to greed for money,
materialistic goods, and power. I want to quote
Mother Teresa in this essay on the subject of family
values : “I think today the world is upside down, and
suffering so much because there is so very little love
in the home, and in family life. We have no time for
our children, we have no time for each other, there is
no time to enjoy each other. Love begins at home;
love lives in homes, and that is why there is so much
suffering and so much unhappiness in the world today.
Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush,
anxious for greater developments and greater riches
and so on, so that children have very little time for
their parents. Parents have very little time for each
other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace
in the world.”
The women involved in prostitution or sex trade are
victims of our present society, and men who use the
services of these women are lost, and both men and
women need help in understanding the purpose in life.
I do not think legalizing prostitution will help in
protecting the women of sex trade, the problem has to
be resolved at more basic level where there is no need
for women to go into this trade and helping men to
find the true meaning of love and family.
